Reclaiming You: Group Therapy for Women in Their 40s–50s

Midlife can be a time of profound change. Your body may feel different. Your emotions may be harder to predict. The roles, relationships, and expectations that have shaped your life may not fit in quite the same way anymore.

You may find yourself asking: Who am I now? What do I want? And what comes next?

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Reclaiming You is a 6-week therapy group for women in their 40s and 50s who want to better understand the changes they’re experiencing, reconnect with themselves, and feel less alone in this stage of life.

Facilitated by Jen Rawson, Registered Psychologist, Registered Dietitian, and Certified Menopause Mental Health Practitioner, the group combines psychoeducation, therapeutic tools, guided reflection, and meaningful connection with other women navigating midlife.

Together, we’ll explore the intersection of hormonal changes, mental health, body image, identity, relationships, and the expectations placed on women in midlife.

Over six weeks, we’ll talk about things like perimenopause, ageism, emotional regulation, body image and diet culture, mental load, identity, relationships, and values.

These may be things you’re already thinking about—or carrying—but haven’t quite known how to put into words. Maybe the people around you don’t fully understand. Maybe you’ve been so busy taking care of everyone else that you haven’t had much space to ask what you need.

This group creates space for those conversations.

It’s a confidential, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing, better understand yourself, and connect with women who may be asking many of the same questions.

Is This Group for You?

Reclaiming You may be a good fit if you are:

  • Finding yourself more emotionally reactive, overwhelmed, anxious, irritable, or simply not quite like yourself

  • Experiencing changes associated with perimenopause and wanting to better understand what’s happening

  • Feeling disconnected from your identity or unsure of what you want in this next stage of life

  • Struggling with body image or adjusting to a changing body

  • Carrying the mental and emotional load for everyone around you and wondering where you fit into the picture

  • Questioning your priorities, relationships, values, or sense of purpose

  • Craving meaningful connection with other women who understand the complexities of midlife

  • Simply feeling that something is shifting and wanting support as you navigate it

This is an opportunity to slow down, understand yourself more deeply, connect with other women, and begin shaping a next chapter that feels meaningful, fulfilling, and authentically yours.
